HI & welcome! I've read they were good layers, nice to hear it from someone who has them.

llWell got 2 is all of my LOs and one has a star pip but not sure if it was like that on day 22 yesterday or not Left the eggs in in case as there is no reason they shouldbnt hatfch although 4 iwrote on it as like 36 degrees out when i collected them and they were cold.
BUT not all...first chick out is doing fine it seemed....... but putting them in the brooder i noticed he has what i thought was an enlarged vent.On closer inspection i see its not /.have feeling its his intestines or a belly button hernia ,He is acting totalally normally Anybody know will this dry up ?go inside ?or wiil he die?.I didnt pay a lot of attention when i saw a few ppl had this other hatches and on the outcome.
Its about twice as big as his vent.
One of my basque chicks hatched like this, but it was not as big as you are describing- it's fine, never had a problem & they are over a wk old. Hope it gets better!

Came home tonight to find one of my new Wyandotte bantams sitting on an egg in a mini nest with her cockerel trying to figure out why the heck she wasn't getting up when he did some dance moves for her. I don't think I really want a broody right now, but I think it may be better for me with all those Serama eggs I set... I also don't know if she's for sure broody, but when I took away her egg she went straight back to the nest looking frantically for her egg. We'll see what happens.
