Lockdown starts at 3pm today!![]()
I just weighed/candled everyone and all but two outliers have lost the appropriate amount of weight! The two cochins with weird %'s have perfect aircells though...so I'm thinking something was wonky with my scale during the initial weigh in or...I have no idea.
Here's my system!

24?How many did you set? Waiting for the fluffy pictures.
34 eggs went into lockdown 20 have hatched so far!!!! All are black with yellow or white marking but one who is yellow![]()
Oh, wow! Good luck!!!Well I tried my first hatch last month and was a total failure. Made some upgrades on incubator and temp/humidity gauge. Setting at 6Am. I'm going to do a few things different this time to see if it will help. I have 15 eggs I collected. Most from my production reds. Throw in 2 RIR/EE eggs for the heck of it. Why not lol. Going to try the dry method this time around. Humidity at 37%-Temp at 100. So I guess well go from there. Won't candle till day 7, so I guess I will give update from there.![]()

I actually don't like waiting until day 7 because that's the most vital turning time in incubation. I waited 3 days with my shipped eggs that had jiggly air cells, and then started to turn them (I incubate in cartons). Air cells are stabilized now and lockdown is tomorrow![]()
