Put mine in today (march 4th) hatch date is March 25th!!
I have 2 Marian eggs, 1 Americana, 2 buff Orpingtons, and a polish! So excited!!

MY AIR CELLS ARE TOO SMALL!!!! It's day 18, and this is what most of them look like! What should I do?? Turn down the humidity until one pips?!

Is it too early to candle? 17 eggs in the BMA is a lot to hand turn. I'm on day 4, so I think it would be fine, but...? BTW I'm not turning yet.

It depends- are they dark eggs? Then it might be too early. Day 10 is a perfect day to candle with pretty much every egg.

They are light brown, a few almost white - I grabbed a random one last night to see if it was developing and could see clearly.

I just set 20 eggs of my buff/light brahma over everything from black australorps to speckled Sussex,also have 8 icelandics hatching on march 8th.

So maybe you might be able to see something, but I think you should wait until at least day 7.

Hrm. Bators full and I have almost 2 dozen eggs sitting on the counter. What to do!? I'm seriously coinsidering firing up my wonky home-made bator. :/ seems like no one wants EE's. *shrugs*

I do, I do! I just haven't found any yet. Heading east anytime soon?
