March Hatch-Along Thread- Come Hatch With Us!!!!!

Yup, even E! I am shocked it went so well considering the complications with three of them!

Might anyone have any ideas what kinds of chickens any of these might be? LOL

(Only in that container for a moment while we changed out the brooder bottom)

The brown chipmunk-looking ones look like Ameraucanas.

Such beautiful chicks! I think I have the start of a pip, a cracked shell but the longer I look at it, the more my eyes play tricks on me. It's in the right place though, right by the 'X' I made for 'this side up', which isn't up anymore after they got shuffled around.

Looks like a crack/pip to me too!

Woke up to lots of chirping in the bator. All of my GSBR/Blue Plymouth rock eggs hatched (20/20) and 7/8 of my production BR eggs hatched. I did an eggtopsy on the one and the chick was fully formed and had absorbed the yolk. It looked perfect but died in the shell. Off to the PO I go. I have 4 boxes waiting for me.

Howdy All~nothing to talk about yet, just checked on them and the humidity is at 70% and temp hanging around 100. So now I guess I just wait. I checked the eggs before locking down, all but one looked good. So I'm guessing that most of them will hatch..but I am prepared for some to not-anything can happen.

everyone's new additions look sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute congratz

Almost all of mine popcorned on day 20, I'm waiting on one more late hatcher, It's pipped but not out yet.
I had to make chick boots for two of them, one had gotten its foot stuck to the floor and it twisted sideways.

The little one with the stuff out its backside is doing ok, he may make it, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.
Congrats to all of you with fluffies!

Update on the eggs in my incubator... I would like to candle them all and know for sure! They're pretty much standing up in my Brinsea Mini Advance to make room for all of them. I've been having to hand turn them since there's more than 7. It would be so nice to candle them and take out the duds. I did candle a couple of them yesterday, & couldn't find any questionable ones. The few I candled all looked good, as much as I could tell. These eggs are much harder to see into. The EE shells are quite thick, but I was able to see into those better than our barred rock eggs since those are quite dark. I checked 2 EE & 2 BR and all looked to be developing. Why am I treating that like it's a bad thing? What am I going to do if they all continue to grow? I actually need a few duds so I can put my auto-turner back in please. Oh, and the eggs that need to quit, let them be the males too. Is that too much to ask?

LOL well you sound like me! I am wanting some duds so I can have room for the call duck eggs from Lisa! I candeled last night, but still too early to tell on most of them. Maybe a few more days? I did toss 1 polish or sultan egg, it was a quiter but the others look really good!
