Thank you so much! I think it is too, unfortunately.Hi there, sorry about your rooster.I read the first two pages, last two pages, and watched the videos. I am very sorry to say this, but it does look like Marek's to me.

before you help him you need a way to refrigerate him.
Do you have room in your refrigerator or do you have an ice chest with ice?
I think he will especially if I wrap him. Not sure if my mom would but oh well hah We don’t really have room though I don’t think but I’ll make room. Will your dad let you put him in your refrigerator is the question.
You could keep feeding him, and he might get a little better, but if it's Marek's, he will relapse. You could try some crazy Hail Mary stuff, like treat for coccidiosis or bacterial infection and see if he improves, but I think if he were mine I would probably euthanize.Yes!! Sorry everyone. I only just got up like 15 minutes ago
I just fed him and he is woofing it down again. My guess is he has not left the coop yet this morning.
I am calling the lab now.
Part of me is trying to convince myself “well maybe if I just keep feeding him he’ll get stronger!!!” But I know that probably is not the case.![]()
Getting worse each day is one of the signs that it is not an injury.Thank you so much! I think it is too, unfortunately.but thank you for confirming because I was still hoping that it wasn’t but he continues to get worse every day so I think I am going to go kill him in a second.
Yeah, I don’t know. Part of me wants to try a bunch of different stuff and if this was 4 1/2 years ago when I got my first chickens, I honestly probably would have. They’re my pets. But now after having hatched and having the roosters and tons of chicks, I’m realizing it’s probably kind of cruel and stupid to keep him alive just for myself and try all this stuff that probably won’t even work. You could keep feeding him, and he might get a little better, but if it's Marek's he will relapse. Yeah, at first I thought it was a sprain or broken leg and honestly that wouldn’t have been unlikely with how much the girls dislike himGetting worse each day is one of the signs that it is not an injury.![]()
If you aren't going to get a necropsy go help him now and get it over with.Yeah, I don’t know. Call your brother. He will help you.Yeah, at first I thought it was a sprain or broken leg and honestly that wouldn’t have been unlikely with how much the girls dislike himbut then when it started showing up with both legs and now with him barely able to move I’m pretty sure it’s something else.
I’m just trying to figure out how I want to do it still.
I’m going to do the necropsy. I want a for sure answer. And I’ll go look right now.If you aren't going to get a necropsy go help him now and get it over with.
If you are going to do it so you have a for sure answer quite goofing off and go find an ice chest.
You mom isn't going to go for a stinking bird in her fridge...trust me.
Thanks. Ask your dad if you have one. If not those cheap styrofoam coolers they sell at corner stores will work.I’m going to do the necropsy. I want a for sure answer. And I’ll go look right now.
