I can’t really remember 100% how it felt but I do remember feeling a big bone in his chest/front. I guess that’s the one?

My dad also was holding him and petting him and stuff for like forever whereas I just took him and did it instantly. Holding him didn’t stress him out or anything, he likes it, but it just dragged it longer than necessary. I really honestly think my dad is more of a wimp than I am

Don't beat yourself up, didn't you say he was crowing? If he was crowing he wasn't suffering too badly, so not let you your mother's head games mess with you, tell her to piss off!

But oh well. My dad is going to do it.

I still think it’s stupid she doesn’t want me to and want to do it anyways but it’s not worth starting a fight over it so I’ll just let my dad do it. It’s still getting done immediately.

You could personally put him out of his misery. You're capable. But you wouldn't enjoy it and you'd remember it. So if your dad will do it for you, that's great! When it's time to do it, go pet Red, tell him "I love you, Buddy," and let your dad do it. Later give your dad a hug (get a hug) and tell him thank you. It's a kindness on your dad's part. Let him help you.

Thank you but I actually ended up doing it myself a few hours ago. My dad tried but it didn’t work so I stepped in immediately and ended it. It for sure worked the second time. Wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I did carry him from his pen to the driveway to do it so he got a little “ride” and sightseeing first and we did talk to him and pet him for a little bit first. I’m glad we carried him to the driveway too because I was able to finish it immediately when it didn’t work instead of having to carry him somewhere else. Anyway, it got done.
