Sooooo I hatched some of Max and Twiggy's eggs ... here are the 3 lil hobbits, Sam, Merry and Pip

Theyre all silver varieties although Merry is more slate pointed, and Pip is much like his father as a chick with only faint silver vein marks and Sam is that lovely all over silver shimmery down xx

13 days old! Getting their feather mohawks

I swear to god little Merry is getting more confusing daily ... hes now getting dark grey feathers coming thru on the back of his neck! And he looks salmon coloured in some lights. I think he's way too light to be a cinnamon, maybe a dilute cinnamon of some kind?? HELP!!

Totally in love with Merry tho, he's a stunning superstar (I'm placing bets he's male as he's bold and I've found male chicks are bolder than female chicks, it's a theory I'm working on )

I haven't got the foggiest tbh I've never seen the like, cinnamon tend to be a deeper colour which means he must be carrying the dilute gene. Although I've never known a cinnamon to have silver base feathers either. I cannot wait til he's got his adult plume, he's going to be stunning
