What's is lockdown n what do u do for it
depends......

Did you mention your brand, type, construction of incubator? If there is an automatic turner, you either shut it off at "lockdown " or if you have set your incubators settings to stop turning automatically, it shuts the automatic turner off itself. Some people lay eggs flat for lockdown. If you turn by hand, you stop turning at lockdown (some say two, some recommend three days prior to the end of the 21st day for chicken eggs.)

In general, lockdown is when you increase humidity (if you candle you may choose to remove any obvious "duds" or "clears" first). Humidity in the incubator at lockdown needs to be increased to about 65 to 70 percent humidity (provide increased water in some way if necessary). You also resist opening the lid to the 'bater since this lowers humidity and humidity may recover too slowly so that your about-to-hatch chicks cannot get into proper position to hatch, or get out of their shells. Thus the magic "lockdown."

Was I spoofed? I just went into lockdown on my first hatch; I have a Brinsea Mini Advance with 4 eggs that made it to lockdown.

Best Wishes!

How many days do they eggs have to b before there but into lockdown
400

That's my incubator not sure wat brand

Depends. Are they chicken, duck, turkey, quail? I am hatching ducks and turkey eggs. They take 28 days to hatch, so I take out the turner on day 24. I also up the humidity to 75 %

You don't have to wait as long for quail as chickens, that's for sure. I'm on Day 12 and it's going rather slowly. Still not quite 2/3 done. Good luck with your hatch!

Thanks! This is my first hatch, and I had the eggs shipped so after waiting for them to get here and then incubating, it still feels like a long time.
