oh hi! I set 77 and today is Day 10. I cleared out some bloodrings and non-starters to leave me with 69 all looking good! These are all Anconas from my own flock. They should be ready around June 2-3 or so

Hello everyone! I hope y'all don't mind if I jump in on this thread too, I know it is kind of late. I am new here at BYC and am plan to set my first duck eggs tomorrow morning - 24 assorted Call eggs that I bought on eBay. I just want to thank everyone for all the good information posted here. I unknowingly had my still air incubator set too cool at 99.5*, but that's about to change. I do have a question about the humidity though. I have read that it should be anywhere from 55% up to 75% for incubation. Can anyone who has hatched Calls tell me what humidity they would recommend for incubation and hatching? Thanks so much!

Hopefully you had great candling success today! I am really bad at candling and dont trust my judgement at all unless they are absolutely clear. This is my second batch of eggs to hatch ever (first was just chickens) so my skill set is lacking for sure!

Well today is lockdown for 16 of my chicken eggs (Barred Rock) I am really getting a little too addicted to this hatching business. I bought 20 silkie eggs yesterday and the lady sent me a message asking if I wanted another 20 and she would just charge me shipping fees of 10 bucks. I couldnt resist! So next week I will be setting those, 12 Copper Marans and how ever many eggs my Welsh Halequin give me (I currently have 9 to be set) That will have to be my grand finale for the year as I am already over the amount I said I was going to hatch. <<<<sigh>>>>>>

It's Day 16 for me and sadly I'm down to three call duck eggs from seven, but I'm really, really anxious and hopeful that at least one will hatch. I'm concerned, though, because two of them have very small air cells. I read somewhere that reducing moisture can help make the air cell bigger, so for the past week, I haven't had any water in my incubator. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that has made a difference. The humidity is around 40-45%. What else can I do to make the air cells bigger? I'm worried! Should I stop spritzing the eggs with water?
