Maybe I just have different standards

Twice was while it was parked, at night. Twice while I was stopped at red lights. Once in a parking lot, the other driver pulled out of a stall, into the back of my car.

Just saying and with all due respect.

I feel your pain there Imp.

I have been in 10 accidents over my driving life. Over half I was not even IN the car lol

4 were in a parking lot (parked and I was shopping inside the store AND not even near other cars...parked out in BFE to avoid getting hit but oh well)

2 on the street (parked and either returning from dinner OR had just stepped out of car)

2 when I was stopped at a red light behind other cars. I really don't think they realized there were stopped cars...they never even slowed

1 when I was clipped by a drunkie who tried to pass me on the right and clipped my back end, sending me careening into 2 other cars and a freeway underpass. Amazingly I wasn't hurt except for minor bruises and a scratch or two, but my car was totaled.

The only one I can honestly say I was a part of was when I hit a patch of black ice and spun out while heading to work one morning (while going 10 MPH or so...very slowly grrrr) and ended up resting my bumpers against the bushes in the ditch on the other side of the road. Still have no idea what happened in that last one...I had good tires and I didn't do anything wrong

I just lost traction...but that was a notorious area for people to lose control in bad weather as well. But regardless that was the only one where I feel it was my fault since no one else was on the road at the time but me in that area.

AT least my insurance company was very good to me, and that's why i have stuck with them still today. That was a bad few years tho... am sure my little cars were trembling in fear whenever I would get in....

It just makes me mad because he says things like 'Its not going to ruin our friendship if I do this?'
It feels like hes almost challenging me.. Mutual friends all think its pretty much bull honky what hes doing.
My sister was going over there tonight and I told her to take pictures of the car and send them to me in the morning.

Im ready to cut ties with him anyways. Hes a nice and funny guy but there are some odd things about him.
Hes a little over bearing too.

I am just ready to see pictures of the new damage to decide how I really feel about the situation.

Imp, do me a favor and don't stand next to me in a lightning storm. That's some unlucky business you've had!

I wouldn't pay this dude anything. There is no record of any of the initial damage. I would NOT pay for anything now since his car is really damaged from his stupid behaviors. I would also drop this guy as a friend. He sounds like a jerk!

My sister sent me pictures of the damage and the new damage would absolutely taint the estimate..
Hes crazy!

The new damage is to the TOP of his finder starting from his light to about midway back.. Then his mirrors gone too.
Someone back down it, right

...and Im a monkeys uncle.

My sister said to him:
If someone backed down that car it must have been in a jacked up truck. (and trust me... there might be 1 in 1000 in that area)
He didnt say a word.

He knows what he did. I havent heard him say another word about an estimate.
Not paying. Sorry. If he wants to get all bent out of shape about it Ill give him $75 to never speak to him again.
I dont really care to either.
EVERYONE is worn thin with this guy. Hes nice in a lot of ways but OVERBEARING and obnoxious in many others.

He just told me he got estimates and I dont know how to tell him no.
He keeps trying to get me on the phone so I feel bad for him (but I have the excuse I cant use the phone till after 7). This guy is a former used car salesman so he knows how to "work a deal" and make people feel sorry.

****UPDATE***
The SO called him and "FRIEND" said it would be $500-$600 to fix.

Time to grow a spine and tell this "friend" to go pound salt. He is no friend of yours nor your SO. How much is the damage to your car going to cost?
Remember NO is a complete sentence.
