75 wht male, living alone in west palm beach, fl, but out west, in the boonies. As if 4 dogs, 5 cats, 12 keets, 15 chicks, constitutes living alone.
Just started chicks in march, bt 20 day olds thru tractor supply, from hoovers. Lost 5 first cpla days, rest still doing fine, enjoying life of leisure in guest bathroom, till their new diggs are done. Ya, its a mess!
Been in electronics and computers 50 years, give or take. Cant afford to retire so still work a few days ea week, same old nuns past 25 years.
Finally decided on coop n run location, now working on coop build, looking on simplest and whats possible for this ol bod to do. Ive got 15 birds, may drop to 10 if not pleased with my attempts. Just hoping for some eggs now and then in return, eat some, share some.
Hoping to get them out of the house by end of this week. But still, its pretty neat the way they cloud around me when i go in to say hi, gals, hows ya doon?
Love this forum. Greatly appreciate the help offered. Amazed there are so many folks who what, love CHICKENS?
