Yes, they are pure Rhode Island Reds.

I've had heritage rose comb Rhode island reds. Yours are gorgeous and remind me how much I miss them.

I would like to try to carry him around, but how on earth do you catch him? Today as he pecked at my feet I tried to pick him up but when he figured out what I was trying to do he ran away. So I tried to catch him, but he’s way faster lol. After 3 tried I gave up for the day!

Sounds mean but I almost always end up catching them by the tail and working my way up to the rest.

I go for the legs when I'm moving the teenagers--not fond of it, but they are slick and would be halfway to the neighbor's house if I don't. I'm old and fat and can't move half as fast as these younguns! ;D
