We ordered Red Rangers from a hatchery several weeks ago, we have some that for sure fit the description of red rangers but we have a few that are small and brown almost like they’re rhode island reds, and a few that are multicolored like the one in the attached picture. Can anyone tell me what breed they think these are (the multicolored)?
It’s been extremely frustrating to evaluate butcher dates for these birds because each type is growing out very differently, and only the ones that are clearly red rangers are going to be ready at the 12 week mark, the rest are the size of a dual purpose bird, not a meat bird.
