Medicated Chick Feed

I'm getting ready to order chick feed for the 4 little peeps that arrive next month. I have two questions:

1. How much feed will I need to start with - will the chicks eat like piggies?

2. Is medicated feed the way to go?

The 5lb bag of medicated feed on the my pet chicken website seems kind of small, but what do I know.

I'd start with 25 lbs. They'll waste tons of feed as babies. You can do medicated or not, but either way, keep looking for signs of cocci as soon as they are on the ground.
