I have two bantams that seem to both have sour crop or yeast. One weighs 3 and one is 2 pounds. Would 1/4 teaspoon in water be a good dose for them?Five-pound hen - Mix 1/2 teaspoon in a small amount of water, then give that water orally. Do this twice a day.
Thanks! I found another chart that said 100,000 units per 400 gram bird... that sounds about right too,
Does liquid Nystatin need to be diluted? If so what is the dosage rate for a bantam with sour crop? I can't find where I saw the dosage rate.

I was thinking I'd set up a bathing station on a warm day and treat those that need it with a topical anti-fungal and also try to give them the medistatin in their feed or water or maybe mix into some scrabled eggs and give as a treat so I can monitor if they get their dose. I feed them layer pellets and they have water both from a suspended water container with nipples at the bottom (mostly used by the larger hens) and an open water container which I change daily. I assume it would be easier to treat an isolated bird or two. Any tips greatly appreciated!Hi I know this is an old post but how much water?Five-pound hen - Mix 1/2 teaspoon in a small amount of water, then give that water orally. Do this twice a day.
