with 5" diameter legs and all that weight to it and concrete "feet" i suspect it would take AT LEAST a herd of bison to topple it ! i wonder if solarquail is wondering if it would tip b/c the legs look long?
Yes, I didn't understand that to.
Today after lunch (my lunch
) I get there to see if there were eggs to get, and find a wild dog (medium size), he was standing up and struggling just to reach the bottom with is nose. The pen is almost 3months old and yet have no signs of attempted breaking-in, so I think it's fine.
We had ours for several months before the first break in and it was by a coon. The cages where hanging on the side of the shed just under the over hang of the roof. We use the spring latches and the coon had to have been on the roof and reached down to open the latch. It opened the cage and the 4 that where in there got out. It got one and we caught the other 3 in the woods behind the house. I also got a horrible case of poison sumac. When I saw them I just took off after them in a pair of sandles, shorts and a tank top. Everything that was exposed got rashes and I was climbing through alot of vines and stuff trying to get to them so it got me nearly everywhere. Next time they will be free. But now we use a clip lock over the spring latch and it can't get opened so it can't get to them that way.
