New babies alert! I've added two blue Indian Runners to my Heathers flock. Bernice and Lionel are their names (I love old timey names for ducks) and about 2mo old. Lionel is def my first drake that I'm allowing in. I've got 5 ladies about 2yrs old now so I'm hoping the olds will both put him in his place and all will have their itches scratched (so to speak).

These two are attached to me more than any of the others. They both slept next to me in a 50gal tote until just last week - and since I work from home - were next to me all day at well.
They are just lovely little sweet baby angels. I will say my family think I'm a little nutty about my ducks - particularly after that last eagle incident. But they make me happy.... the poop is the gross but easy part. Keeping my pets safe from predators - now that's the true hard part

The babies are beautiful, the photos are great, and I am SO jealous! My runners -- who will happily and enthusiastically take food from my hand -- act as if I am trying to kill them when I make any effort to touch them in return. Yours cuddle!!!

Mine are pretty much the same way. There are 2 I can pick up for a sec and smooch on but the rest say back off lady. Just to have them eat out of my hand lets me know they do trust me[as long as I don't touch] lol
