No way! I have a Black Ameraucana named Raven, too!!!! She looks so much like the ravens that inhabit our property that I just couldn't name her anything else!!! (She's sassy like those darned ravens, too!)

We were thinking of a name for her when we got her and we immediately thought of a crow or some black bird. But "Crow" wouldn't be a very good name for her, so we thought of Raven.

She's the sweetest little pullet. Every time she sees someone near their outside run, she will run up to the side of the cage and beg for attention and grass. Whenever I go into the run, she will follow me around everywhere!

If I run away from her, she will run after me to catch up.

hen-thusiast- yes it did look pretty painful. Poor rooster lost almost ALL his toes completely, all the points on his comb, and a spur.(which wasn't really from frost bite...it just fell off before he got the frost bite) We are wondering how to make next winter more safe and comfortable for him.
