Meloxicam dosage for ducks-bumblefoot in hock

Hello!
I’ve got a jumbo pekin, yum yum, who’s been battling bumblefoot since she was a baby. We’ve taken her to get surgery but it didn’t heal correctly and now I assume the infection has spread to her hock. At first the whole foot and toes were swollen. I gave her a round of injectable penicillin g for 4 days. Now just the hock is swollen and it looks like I could pop it with a needle. I’ve justordered meloxicam. Does anyone know proper dosage? She’s close to 10lbs

I am sorry to hear about your duck. I haven't used Meloxicam, but I think @HollowOfWisps has.

I have not used it before, but the dosage I have seen for poultry range from 0.1mg/kg-
0.5 mg/kg PO, IM q12-24h. However, @casportpony is much better with dosages than I am and may be able to confirm which dosage is best.

Yes the it is the same as long as the dosages are followed correctly per species requirements and weight.
