Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

silly boy, you just needed to turn all the lights off and make her think it was night. Then you could have picked her up and put her in the coop. ;)
He should have put some newspapers out away from the fire, put a log on it, and then turned out the lights. She would think that the sun is going down and that she better get up on her roost.

Had a Covid exposure at work this week, so I'm off for a couple of days. one of our front desk people tested positive for it yesterday. Thing is that she got a massage from another therapist on Saturday, and then on Monday I got a massage from that therapist as well. Plus I worked with the FD team on Sunday. Either way, figured that with the day off it would be a good idea to go get a covid test done. Nasal Swab up the one nostril. God is that just a weird felling. And the worst part is that it feels like I have a sneeze on deck up there, and it just won't come out. Hopefully neither of us get it, and that the FD teammate had a false positive, or at least has a very mild case.

Oh no! Let us know how your test comes back. It’s definitely scary. I didn’t have anyone I knew that had it the first big wave but now I know quite a few who have gotten it

They got tested as part of contact tracing, or as a precaution before an event. It is hard to get a test here unless you are symptomatic - the local hospital will not test you without symptoms due to lack of adequate testing equipment and personnel. You can drive 50 miles and pay for a test if you want to, but they are having a major outbreak in that town and I wouldn't go there without a better reason.

Buddy of mine had that done. He never had many symptoms, never had a fever.
14 day quarantine and they wouldn't test him again because they said he'd test positive.

My nephew is a photo journalist in NYC and was filming Covid scenes, with distancing caution and masked.
Came down a raging headache, fever, and fatigue for 3-4 days....tested negative.

Real head scratchers.

Anyone else have the wicked wind of yesterday? It was howling along the lake. Whitecaps rolling in one right after another. Radio said steady winds at 50 MPH. Not sure what it was here...the wind took down my weather station.

No power when I got home but that wasn't unexpected for this area. Had the generator running for the refrigerator, radio, and a light. Power was restored around 2?00 am. All animals weathered the storm just fine. And I didn't lose any big trees. Hope everyone else who had storms got through it alright.
