Right here. Waiting for my cookie delivery.

News around here is that I'm finally getting an egg off and on, 7 eggs in the last 10 days. I went an entire month without a single egg.

Finally got health insurance this fall and saw a doctor. Of course he had to find a problem or two. First was diabetes so he writes a prescription. Insurance company says I can't have that prescription. Next was a chest x-ray showing a bad heart so I get referred to a cardiologist. A few visits and procedures later, doc says that it is a congenital defect and we'll watch it in case something happens.

Now the funny part is that I originally saw the doctor for a suspected hernia. It took a referral, insurance approval and a three-month wait to see the surgeon. I no sooner lifted my shirt and he says "holy shirt" you need surgery right away. He wanted to do it last Thursday but since I'm flagged as a cardiac patient, I need permission from the cardiologist. To get that, I need an appointment; to get an appointment I need a referral from the primary care doctor; so I need an appointment with him. Then all of that has to go to the insurance company to see if this is really necessary.

Meanwhile, the surgeon scheduled the procedure for Wednesday. I'm just waiting for the hospital to call with the time to be there. So here I wait trying to find someone who can take me the 2 blocks to the hospital and bring me back home afterwards.

At least I haven't been arrested lately.

USPS........... is on my crap list. Once again........(not of my choosing) but a purchase I made was sent via them and they said they delivered it, but it is not there. The mail box is a locked box so no one could steel from it... and larger packages are all delivered inside. SO...someone is lying and stealing. I don't buy that it was lost if they scanned it to say they delivered it, then someone had to have it. And NO ONE is helping me out. I talked to a supervisor at the USPS and he put me on hold, and never came back. When I called back they said he went to a meeting.. and so was the manager. (how convenient).

I think I'm just going to file a claim with AMEX and be done with it. Vendor is not responding either.

You just need someone to pick you up right?   I PM'd you my number the other day.    Could you taxi there and call me for ride home?   It would take me an hr to get to the hospital.

Well that sucks...its all this christmas mail glogging up the works and apprently people desperate for christmas presents i guess. i hope you find your package or get a quick refund Silly.

Thanks Silly. That would be a long way for you to drive but I have your number as a last resort. The hospital is actually within walking distance but they will not let me walk home either. (They checked with the legal department before answering).

I did get a call from a hospital rep to say that someone from the hospital would be calling later to discuss my procedure. An hour later someone called to discuss the paperwork and what is supposed to be done. And most importantly if I have valid insurance. About an hour after that, another hospital drone calls to get my medical background and ask what it is that I'm coming in for. I tell her then she goes through a checklist of questions. When she asked if I was pregnant I said yes. At the end of her spiel she asks if I have any questions. I asked her what time is my surgery. She happily replies that she doesn't have that information and I need to call tomorrow after 1:00 PM, leave a message and let them get back to me by 5:00 PM.

I was far healthier before dealing with the medical industry.

well hope everyone had a good day...I traveled a little over 400 miles today....so I was gone but good news...I got dc wire...yea buddy and 30 eggs ready for incubator...got a bunch of pics on the road by my awesome friend/breeder and picked up two lady Amherst hens...I cant wait to introduce them to there other two lady Amherst...so ill have three hens and one male...yeppper...im excited...and tommarow my ride is taking me to get the rest of the lumber...ofcourse I have to do some work at his house and pay for gas but all is good...its steady moving forward

No more cookies!! No more!! Every day since about thanksgiving there's been some form of goodies in the breakroom at work. A lot of our clients bringing in their homemade goodies. I've put on about 10 pounds since then. I need to stop seeing goodies in front of me. That and go running more.

The surgeon is okay. I just hate dealing with the parasites that are manning the phones and the insurance forms.

insurance would be a whole lot cheaper if they just paid the claims instead of having all of that BS paperwork to push their pencils around on. They would need a whole lot less pencil pushers that way.
