Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday. I've got my groove on and heading out to do a few errands. It's early but I want to be back by noon. I just hate having to run here, there & everywhere. I try to get it all done in one trip. My flock was singing away this morning. 5 @ 7:30. We'll see what the second collection brings. Yesterday I got 10 total!! Good day all!!!


Correction: Just looked @ my tally board...I forgot to count yesterday....it was Fri I got 10.

Love the peafowl, Farmerboy. I wish I lived out where I could keep them. I think their call is pretty cool.
I think the noise my BLAs make is a cross between a peacock and a seagull. Such big noise from such small birds.

I dropped off a dozen eggs at a friends last night and showed her kids the green bantam eggs. They thought that was the greatest thing. City kids!
Oh wait, I'm a city kid.

To all the newbies!! Great site here.
Went out to breakfast with Krisrose and came home and worked outside on the coops. Got the heated waterers out, suppose to be 27o tonight!! Cleaned out the bantam coop and got it ready for cold weather. Oh, how I hate the thought of cold weather!! Have a great day...
Oh, loved all the pics!! It's fun seeing all the different breeds.

Yes, We like to play kick ball, and we are a family of 11, but got a sister-in-law last fall, and getting an another one in January, that will make 13 total. That will be perfect number for a baseball game.

I am the third, and I just turned 23 last week, so that makes me next in line for marriage.

taprock- Yes, its a guinea, and the color is Pearl. I had 6 of two of each color, but lost one, when it flew out of the brooder last week, and it could not go back in, so it got chilled and died.

I'm working on a GIS project at school and have asked for some help. I'm mapping the state to determine where chickens are and if they are permitted or not.

Can you help me out? I'm looking for:

Your town.
Your county.
Legal flock, limited or totally against ordinance.

I'm nearly at my deadline of compiling the data, I want to complete this by the end of Thanksgiving weekend.
