Boyd I have been keeping you all in my prayers and will continue to do so.

Well we are putting the timer and light into the coop tonight. I am down to getting 2-3 eggs a day from 14 chickens. I was getting 10-12. I told them they really need to help me out and lay more eggs so I can keep buying them food. I don't know if they were listening hopefully the light will help. I actually have people waiting for eggs now.

Yea her immune will problely be shot after that first week of chemo.
Boyd, what kind of cancer did your son have, if you dont mined me asking.

Burkitts Lymphoma, a form of non hodgkins. He was 4th stage when we found it, but fortunately that type reacts well to chemo. The worst was the secondary infections and the pneumonia. Thats what almost killed him.

Boyd we will keep you in our prayers at our house as well.

We had a busy day here with school being closed. It was fun and all the kids got along well.

One of my little guys didn't come because his mom had to take him to the dr. Seems that being 21 months old and very independent he wanted to go down the deck steps himself (he was with mom and not me) (thank goodness) Needless to say he fell.

He ended up getting x-rays today and he has a fracture and needs a cast. Poor baby....now does anyone have advice on taking care of a toddler with a cast?

We had parent teacher conferences after school yesterday. Those are no fun! I hate it when parents cry because their child isn't doing well.

Everyone stay dry, don't skid on the chicken poop!

funny you said that. i've been, for two days, on a crazy schedule, and both just RUNNING with the chicken drinkers and feed. and i'm just praying the whole time, "please God, give me wings. help me be fast. and hold me up. don't let me slip in the poop."

MJ You are very sweet, but I think I have to agree with you in saying the small size of the pic makes it look better!

A very nice day here with just my kids and a couple sweet little daycare girls. We are going to snuggle up and watch a movie, maybe bake a pumpkin bread and work on our big puzzle.

My boys have lost their playstation. It causes nothing but problems and I am not sure if I will ever give it back, really. Any moms have an opinion on this? My boys are 13 and 9 and it just seems to have taken over for them, all they want to do is play it and when they do all they do is fight

Thanks for letting me vent, I needed that!

What I do for my son is a 3-1 ratio.... He has to read 3x as long as he gets to play a game. 3 hours of reading = 1 hour of game time. I do set a timer. After a year or so he hardly even touches it anymore and is moving on to John Grisham and select Dean Koontz books. Oh yeah, he's 9

Morning. We finally heard from our son John last night. He has been in Navy boot camp for 2 weeks now and this is the first contact we have had since we dropped him off on the 8th. It was so good to hear his voice. He says he misses his mom, brother and me a lot. Also that the training is REALLY hard and the trainers yell a LOT. He only got to talk to us for about 5 minutes and his voice was cracking when we said goodbye. 6 more weeks until graduation and we can hopefully spend a couple days with him. Love your kids folks. It hurts when they leave!!

On the chicken front. One of our 3 roosters has become fairly aggressive and has tried to attack me the last three times I have gone in the run. He will meet my big knife tomorrow. That would leave me with 2 wellie roos. One is the traditional dark coloring, the other is lighter with no black on the chest. I'm thinking that we only need one rooster and I can't see feeding the other any longer. Which would you think we should keep? Both have pretty good temperments.
