Small world, isn't it? Lost Arrow Resort and Game Preserve is up for sale for something like $14 million. Too bad I don't have $14 million in my checking account

I know a woman with non-hatchery Cochins and she has blue, black and splash. Send me a PM if you want her name and contact info. She's down near Jackson.
Thank you for the site, I opened an account and I posted pictures.. I keep trying to figure out how to get them from there to BYC I want to do a "MyPage" but I feel so usless. I wish I knew more about this computer thingy... I tried to copy the url or what ever you call it and pasting it.. but that doesn't work...
One of these day you will see pictures... I did do an avatar
Vicki, those are precious little puppies! Congrats!
Opa, I wake up pretty close to your time; however, no one is allowed to speak to me until at least 8:00. I'm in pure robot mode for the first few hours of every day. I learned that it's best for me to keep my mouth shut during 'robot' time since I'm not exactly warm and fuzzy then.
Silly Chicken, that's awesome that you got a bike ride in. Tom and I have been kidless for a week now (which is why I finally have time to get on here and say hello). We were hoping to do more riding last week, but the rain got in the way.
gallinamomma, you'll figure it out. Have patience with yourself. We'll all enjoy seeing your pics when you get them up. Your roo is a pretty boy!
My garden has been going gangbusters this year! We harvested about 50 heads of broccoli a few weeks ago and blanched/froze them. I've been freezing all kinds of things: white scalloped squash, green beans, zuchinni, cauliflower, and made some veggie soup stock out of smoked meat bones and veggie stalks, then froze that. We've got about 50 tomato plants that will be full of tomatos soon. Then we've got around 50 eggplants that are producing well, too. I planted burgundy okra that is growing like crazy. With all this stuff popping up everywhere, I figured I need to learn to can. Bought a couple of books on canning, and Tom ordered me an All American 21 qt canner. It just came in yesterday. Guess what I'm going to be doing for the next couple of months?
Hey, I grew some pretty cool varieties of things this year. If any of you want me to harvest some seeds and send them to you, just let me know. We've got Christmas Pole lima beans, edamame, Daikon radishes, a Japanese winter squash that supposedly tastes like hazelnuts, white scallop squash (which is a delish Summer squash), an Italian variety of zuchinni with light green stripes, and burgundy okra-these are all things that I can harvest seeds from.
My garden is doing so much better than last year! Been harvesting cabbage, zucchini, different kinds of peppers, cukes, beans, broccoli, onions, and strawberries (everbearers). Love it! Some tomatoes are starting to turn. Yay! I need to get busy freezing the green beans today. I've got lots of pumpkins and squash that have started. Not too many watermelon, though. Lovin' the abundance of veggies this year!
I have some pics of the coop and the chicks that now live in it.
Now we are waiting to see how many take to crowing. We are both kind of thinking the brahma might be the first.
Oh! Has anyone here heard about people cross breeding silkies with polish? A guy BF works with said that some had started doing that and that our black silkies may be part polish too.
You need to check out the Tool Haus in Gladwin, all kinds of neat woodworking and craft stuff
Oooooo.................The Peppermill. That's a great restaurant. I love it there! I haven't had any pie from there, though. Macs Menu is pretty good, too. Take M18 north -- still within the city of Gladwin, I think. The Peppermill is my favorite, though.
