I too let my garden go last fall, so this spring when it dried up enough I burnt it off had a few hairy moments when the wind picked up but all and all it looks really good now, I put down a few inches of composted straw on it last fall then burnt off the top dry stuff this spring, hoping it will help the soil alot ,we have clay and sand and for years and years they grew nothing but feed corn on our land the soils pretty burnt up, but slowly im getting back into shape. Have big gardening plans this spring, we start on our coop tomorrow, wish me luck and not to many busted thumbs, already have splinters from getting the lumber today DH kept saying SQUEEZE the lumber dont STROKE it..LOL.. got a few looks at Lowes..
Hope all have a wonderful weekend!
