Hee, hee ChickWannaB! Depends how you define "new"! In my own mind I don't *feel* new as I've been obsessively reading BYC for almost 3 years now! Just never posted till recently! I considered Chickenstock last year, even noted it on my calendar on spec, but then "felined" out (just grabbed that out of the air, didn't want to say "chickened" out, and my chickens are much braver than a few cats I've known!). Anyway, I figured I might be more likely to be brave and go if I actually participated a bit in the Michigan thread first. So here I am! Along with my carpentry skills, my social skills in big groups of people I don't know are, well, stunted. But I do feel much better about going now I know some names (well, BYC names, good enough for me) and something of people's stories and enthusiasms.
So I'll try not to be the mousy one hanging her head around the edges of the crowd and not talking to anyone if a few of you take pity and talk chickens to me. (I have a feeling that finding people who want to talk chickens won't be too much of a problem...)
