Happy Holidays to all! I know this is not the "selling" thread or section but I need to sell my birds and I do not ship out of State. After 3 years of blood, sweat and tears of finding and breeding now I forced to sell. I have Dark Cornish that are 95% Keith lines with 5% Herring. No hatchery. Absolutely beautiful birds. I sold a trio to a friend and have one Rooster, 2 hens and about 4 pullets left. Thank you

I'm only pondering a flock expansion.
I have more than enough room in the coop and can move the outside run to wherever I want it to be. I do need to consider the space that the dogs need as well. But as I look at the brown mess of the backyard I think of the bigger mess it will be come spring.

I went to sleep last night thinking of Godzilla size chickens next to my banties; and Godiva coloured eggs next to the light tan eggs. Upon waking, I'm questioning some of my own motives in the chicken math equation.

Speaking of bantams and numbers...My 2 BLAs started laying on November 17th and I have received 22 eggs from them. I think that is pretty good production from them. Considering the drop in egg output many of you are experiencing, I'm darn happy to be getting eggs from all the girls. I wonder what is the major factor in egg production; light, light quality, food quality, contentment, cable in coop?

I think I'll search for the amount of day light for my lattitude and see how it correlates. I must be really, really bored!

Hey....you could borrow my two. They are broody about every 3 weeks (hence....no stinking eggs from them

I only have one silkie hen left... Hawk attack. I thought of that though. She is going on 8 months and still no eggs.

I am looking forward to having peace back in the yard. My poor hens... The ones in protective custody, they are not happy about not getting yard time, but they get attention that's gang related. Tonight the extra roos go... A little bummed tho. Gonna be the first time for me. I think I will have the neighbor go with me to drop off so I won't cry like a baby. Lol. I love them guys. Even tho they are only roosters. Don't do much but make pretty lawn ornaments and loud alarm clocks... Lol. I guess I better get used to it. Want to do meaties next year. I really want my garage back!

Im hoping for a hatch of Lemon Cuckoo Orps by January 4th. If it's a good hatch you want some of them?? I've already given Keyt eggs to incubate, but if ALL GOES WELL, I will have more than I want. I mean more than I need, I added 2 of my own Barred Rocks to the batch and one unknown
