What a cute bunny! I totally hear you on the claws thing. I had rabbits when I was a kid and got my share of gashes from a startled rabbit.

We had a house bunny for a while. During the day he used go outside to do his business and hop around the yard then come sit by the door to be let in. At night we put newspaper down in the kitchen and just picked it up in morning.

Not even ice cream cake. I don't like pies or chocolate or deserts in general. Perhaps a cheesecake or pumpkin pie for my birthday would be alright.
I guess I'm weird.

That goes w/o saying. You are also lucky, which is even better than good, so I hear.

Good morning Michigan (and unnamed)

Opa, thought you would like this sweet poem on aging https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/625456/mahonris-3rd-annual-byc-easter-hatch-a-long/1520
I think that is funny but I'm not real sure what we were talking about.

babigyrl - Bottle feeder program sounds good to me. You volunteering to be first ? Rabbit is pretty. BIG though. WOW

Silly Chicken - If you lived closer I would take you up on it. I HATE bottle feeding.

Quote: She is making plans to go to The Cancer Institute in Oklahoma. I just talked to her not long ago and she says she feels a little bit better than she was feeling so meds are helping some. Said she might move back home here after she gets out of hospital. I sure hope she does as she has no one in Arkansas anymore. Thanks for asking.

I've cought up reading. All the talk of willows and a mention of posts, stirred memories of life long ago and some questions I never thought of then (or since) . When I was a kid of maybe 8 to 10 years, don't really remember age, wasn't paying much attention then, WW2 was going strong. We, my mom & dad, two brothers and four sisters, I was the youngest for most of that time, had a Victory Garden. Actually, we had two gardens. One was Small, a few vegies, lettuce, matters, pickles, radishes and the like on both sides of the path from the back door to the garrage by the alley and surrounded by borders of flowers. Gosh, I could just about use the same discription for our back yard today, except the utility access is not an alley, only power & phone lines. We lived in an area called Jackson Hill.

I have a multiple choice exam question for residents of this board

It is winter in the UP. You have an awesome jacuzzi bathtub and feel like relaxing. You can either
A: Put on some relaxing music and grab a good book for a long bath
B: Whip out some bubble bath for an sudsy soak
C: Fill the tub full of ducklings and watch the fun

Yea, C happened in this household!

SWEET!

The Baytril is helping my drake a lot. He is not longer breathing as heavy and he sounds like a duck now, instead of a guinea pig!!!
I think the hen on it is improving too!
I am glad he is better.

Well, 2 more sets of twins today. All is doing well.

congrats!

I spoke with Raz today about some apple wood for his smoker. I believe all of us need to pray for him as I believe from our conversation that he is ill. Can you believe doesn't like coconut cake? The boy must be sick.

I love coconut. I am the only one in my family that does though so I don't get it very often.

RaZ, my guys don't like cake either. So we have a tradition of baking brownies for birthdays here.

LOL. Ok, maybe Robin needs to institute an bottle feeder adoption program. My one opposing neighbor told me that she could would put up with my goat(s) but I can only get two. (I'm not getting any but it's nice to know that she's in my favor now).

I did find an angora rabbit! His name is Clark. He came from a breeder who kept him clipped so he's not all blown out. His nails were sharp as needles and he did a number on my hands attempting to escape my curious rescue who constantly what to have her cold nose in his face. So now I know he can jump his big butt from the floor to my lap to my shoulder lickity slit. He got a prompt nail clipping.

He is much bigger than he looks in the picture. I didn't think I would have to buy another crate but it looks like I will. He is roughly the size of my bichons and he will look bigger once in full coat. The reaction from my three dogs when I brought Clark in was priceless:

Nala (Mutt - The Rescue) - OooOOooo...is this for ME? *sniff sniff*....a TREAT? *licks bunny* (

I gotta work on that)
Wendell (Bichon - The Destroyer) - Another DOG!

Diva (Bichon - The Spoiled Brat) - WTH Mom! Your lap is MINE *paces and whines"

Here is Mr. Clark
Cute!

There's nothing cuter than a Jersey cows face! One of the few animals that are cute born, and stay cute!! Have fun with her!!

RBahmer, I love bottle feeding lambs, I'm sure it's a chore when you have to do it allot though. I'd help if we weren't 2 hrs away!

I picked up my turkeys yesterday. The turkeys scared the crap out of the chickens though... the turkeys made themselves at home in their coop
last night and this morning, all the chickens were piled on top of each other on one side of the coop. I'll be making a different shelter for the turkeys this summer.
Pretty turkeys!

I swear.... Kids....

mine are up for trade-in...

you can trade up your cars...

why can't I trade up my kids for models that don't talk back, pick up their socks, and wipe their own butts? That's not asking too much is it?

and ones that are not abscessed with lmfao. (I meant abscessed, its rotting their minds. Party rock and I'm sexy and I know it in every possible parody!)

I don't know whether to congratulate you (You don't have temptation), or think you are secretly an alien? Actually, i have a guy acquaintance who is the same way, so it's not just you. Myself, i am a pie gal. I blame my fondness for sweets on my german ancestry......

You could get collodial silver from a health store. It's not cheap at $15 for a little dropper bottle, but it works great for the little mystery colds that indoor birds sometimes get. I used it for years on my parakeets. It won't upset their natural balance like an antibiotic. I used to put up to 10 sprays into their water, and let them drink it for a few days. They seemed to drink more when it was in there, so they liked the slightly metallic taste. Got rid of the coughs and sneezes. Silver will cure sinus infections too, if anyone was wondering the human use. Also flu, if you do it as soon as you feel it coming on. Not the swine flu though.... got that one anyway. :( Don't work for chicken colds, different things causing them..

Nova, didn't know you were a single mom....sorry about the hubby comment....

My mom raised me and my sisters solo, and i know it's tough sometimes, especially when they are young.
