Here are my first three eggs from my mmm’s. The photo with four eggs, the bottom lighter egg is a store bought free range brown egg for comparison.

Wow, they are darker than I thought they would be. I can’t wait for mine to start laying! How old were yours when they started laying?

Got my first egg when they were almost 5 and a half months old on Aug 5th. I think it's only one laying so far. Three have nice bright red large wattles and have started squatting. Their entire demeanor changed as soon as they matured. They are so easy to handle now. I really love these birds.

I have just the one and I think they are absolutely beautiful. She will come close to me and I can pet her sometimes, but she doesn’t like to be held a lot. So far I’m really enjoying this breed. She has the biggest appetite out of all my pullets.

No, not yet. Her comb and wattles aren’t even red yet. She is 18 weeks old today.

Mine were like that before they started laying and then it was like a switch was flipped and now they are really friendly. They will let me hold them again, sit in my lap for cuddles and pets and let me carry them around. I got really bummed when they started their angry teenager phase and just wanted to be left alone.

No, not yet. Her comb and wattles aren’t even red yet. She is 18 weeks old today.

Ya she was really friendly like that in the beginning, so hopefully she will be more sweet as she matures. Can you post current pictures of your girls? I would love to see what they look like now that they are laying.
