Thank you! Yes,it is larger for a first egg, it’s just about the same size as my leghorns egg. I don’t know if all her eggs will come out with speckles, but I love them!

I have 4 MMM in a mixed flock of 33 chickens. I ordered 4 female MMM from Hoover ended up with 1 male. I believe they are a cross between a Black copper marans rooster and a Cuckoo Marans Hen. They are sex links, Here are a few photos of mine at 4 months old. I also have a Black jersey Giant Cockerel, a Buckeye Cockerel and a Lavender Orpington Cockerel and so far they all get along great. My MMM cockerel was the fastest growing and the first to start crowing at 3 1/2 months old and has just started chasing the ladies although they wont have nothing to do with him yet.

She is pretty, next time I order chicks I am going to order BCM, Welsummers, and some Prairie Blue Eggers from Hoover. Is that a Lavender Orpington I see in the background?

That’s a blue Ameraucana. But I do have 2 lavender Ameraucanas as well.
