chocolate is sex linked recessive, isn't it? so if she's chocolate, breed her to a split roo. you'll get 50/50.My Chocolate project egg hatched! I can't tell if it's chocolate or black at this point. It's still wet and slimey. Going by the beak, I am going to say chocolate. S/he has one heck of a big head - like an Orps! I'll do the photo shoot once s/he's dry and fluffy. Sadly, the other chocolate egg died in lock down, so I don't know what to do with this chick if it is a pullet. If it was a cockerel I was going to put him back over his mom and her coop mate.
