I am as well! I think he is going to be super. Lost almost all his white and now looks like a Mille Fleur, but that may be good because Remington is so dark red and Hipper is a pale orange color.

Still not sure who to put were for breeding. I may just leave all my MF's together for right now. I won't know the parent's but will hopefully get som cool colors. I still haven't heard Sunshine Roo crow as well but I see him ride the hens.

Nope. I sold him. He is father to 4 babies near the NY/NJ/PA border ad I am supposed to get one or two babies back. Looks like only one is a cockerel at this point. The other three look like partridge based pullets.

My last MFC egg died in shell but my Chocolate egg is pipped! Finally!

ETA: I sold Hotpants because his cushion was not widening. I know they can take awhile but even at his age, he should have had some width. The babies are looking good so far. Two have nice, short backs. The owner couldn't get good pics of the cockerel.

Here's Hotpant's 4 babies.

My Chocolate project egg hatched! I can't tell if it's chocolate or black at this point. It's still wet and slimey. Going by the beak, I am going to say chocolate. S/he has one heck of a big head - like an Orps! I'll do the photo shoot once s/he's dry and fluffy. Sadly, the other chocolate egg died in lock down, so I don't know what to do with this chick if it is a pullet. If it was a cockerel I was going to put him back over his mom and her coop mate.

chocolate is sex linked recessive, isn't it? so if she's chocolate, breed her to a split roo. you'll get 50/50.

This is my F1 and my only chick thus far. I don't have anything else to breed her to.

Now...It isn't chocolate. It isn't black. It's BLUE! With what looks like leakage around the head. The hen is black and the cockerel is 100% pure chocolate Orp from Jordan Farms. Makes me wonder what the hen's background genetics are. -sigh- I am so disappointed.
