Mille Cochin Info

I am with you on that. I never got what I was supposed to and ordered 4 dz. I got some I did not order to hatch from those eggs but sold them due to I did not want them. I was hoping for Mottled but I got a few excuses why those weren't sent. I also did not get good hatch rates but understand the PO can be rough with boxes and did not blame the packaging or birds, as some are want to do when they do not get good hatch rates. I have seen some nice birds come from from her place though. What a shame I didn't get any. Oh well, live and learn.

Ugh, now y'all are making me nervous...I wish I had come he first to ask about her. I am high bidder for 18 eggs from her right now and it ends in 3 hours. I specifically asked yesterday about her Columbian Cochins, Mille Fleur, Mottled, Silver Laced and Lemon Blues and if they were laying. She replied with: " Hi Sandy all are laying great but the Silver Lace and Lemon Blues are the only ones who decided to go broody right now but I can get you lots of the others if you win."

I am afraid I am going to be disappointed now...I want some more babies with soft gorgeous feathers like the ones I got from you Amy. Now I'm thinking I may have made a mistake. And I don't want to be stuck with chickens I don't want. :(

What do you all think of starting a new mille fleur cochin progress page or updating the old 1? That way some of you here can have your birds progress over the years added and see the progress of some others who still are working on the project that who were in the old progress page.

Oh, no, Sandy. There have been others that have been pleased with the birds that hatched from her eggs.
I am so glad you are enjoying the beauties from me. I strive to work hard on improving the quality of birds I produce. I started with very little color and have gotten mine in fairly decent shape in only 3 years.
I took these photos today of two pretty ladies waiting for their supper.

However, I tried to get the silver laced, too but was told about the same as you and that has been about a year and a half ago. Maybe longer. Maybe she just has only a few birds in each pen and can only get so many eggs collected. I know I am taking down my Mottled ad since I have so many orders pending and my girls are not laying fast enough.

That sounds cool. Wish I had time to work on it. My web site keeps me busy enough and I don't get to add to it as much as I would like.

I think it would be tough to do but we could do it. If you send your stories and photos of change over time I could probly do it unless somebody else would rather do it. It may take a while but I know it can be done.
