Mille Cochin Info

Here is an up and coming buff Mottled that I may put back with the roo I got from bantyman a few weeks ago. I get some decent useable birds from crossing this up and they help in the MFC project. Ignore the black Mottled and BLRW pullets. It is a grow up tractor.

He was a surprise when I opened the box. I think I will be able to use him well, though!

MF D 'Uccle and a buff mottled serama (she is washed out because of the flash)

here is the baby from them wo. It reminds me of some of the MFC project birds pattern on their breast. I think that was the prettiest patterned bird I had. There were a bunch of little girls that came over in the spring and bought them. At least they went to good homes. I just wanted to show the pattern on this one even though it is not an MFC. :)

Wowzer! Sweet! Did bantyman sell all his MFCs?

They are cuties! I love d'Uccles but sadly I got rid of mine. They were sweet and adorable but they laid small eggs and not very often. I needed my pens for birds that were a bit more productive. Although, I still have one Porcelain roo. He is a little love ball and is getting along well with my cats that live in a stall in the barn, along with a Marans hen that can't walk well. As long as he is a good boy then he can stay. He is small and probably would be fine free ranging if he stays close to the barn.

Anyhow...yours are adorable! And yes, the pattern is good to see, even on another breed.

Nice surprise Amy!!

Kris your little pullet's color and pattern looks very much like one of my pullets:
I think, makes me feel like I'm on the right track!

here is my only MFC I kept. She was a pullet in this picture but is 3 now. She has darkened up a little as she has aged.

I only have that pair of D Uccles and the little serama. They must be 4years old. I better hatch some eggs next spring.
