Mille Cochin Info

Yes, I believe he sold out of everything. Days are too short and with work and everything going on he didn't have as much time anymore.

Along with the dark roo I got a hen, too. A few weeks before that I got 2 hens from him. The girls are awesome and are in with Xavier right now. This fella is young but showing great potential. He is a rapscallion but a good boy. I will put him in breeding in another month or so when I move some keets out of a breeding pen. Can't wait to see offspring!

Please excuse the disaster that is my coop at the moment.
I haven't had a chance to do the 'winterized cleaning' yet.
I decided to get a few pics today. I am aware some are not MFC... ;)

My runty blue from Rosalyn. She should be the same size as the BC with the light hackles, Amelia and JB.

The smutty BC pullet in the middle seems to be Junior's favorite. Poor girl looks horrid.

I cannot see the pictures of the dark poulet well but it seems to me I have seen some pictures of a poulet very similar to her that someone hatched from your eggs. She is very pretty. I like that MF cockerel you are keeping he is very nice. He looks like he has a nice body. And nice eyes and good coloring.
yes she looks just like the little girl I have only mine seems to be smaller.

Beautiful pictures Mike

Sunshine Roo is out of Inky and Ruby Rod. Tuba I'm sure is out of Inky, and I'm 90% sure she's by Ruby Rod, although I did have Brandon by that time. Ruby was pretty jealous of his women though. Tuba is F3 Mottled/MF......... and getting even more beautiful then I thought she'd be!

Well... I know I said I was done hatching for the year....... but my young Splash Silkies have started laying and I have to hatch their eggs. My MF pullets are laying pretty good now too, so as long as I've got the incubator running........

Good for you Nancy! Hatch Hatch Hatch! I have been so tempted but really don't want to keep them in the basement all winter. I keep thinking about it. Me had such a mild winter last year I am hoping we do again! If it keeps staying as nice as it has been I may go ahead and fire the incubator up!
Good luck!

I see some very pretty birds in your coop, Bobbie!

LOL Tony... You're going to have a much more milder winter then I will...
Our winter last year was so nice. but everyone including my Gramma has been saying this winter is going to more then make for it.. Ah, you haven't lived until you've lived through winter in South Dakota!

I'm already dreading it and it's only the first week of November...

South Dakota? YIKES! Brrrrrrrrr.... I do not envy you at all as far as the weather goes. I thought it was bad from the left over plain winds in western Wisconsin, you are right in the thick of it.
