I had my three little ones on my lap for close inspection and the darker one I think is definately a roo and I am leaning toward hens on the two lighter colored ones

. A watched chicken never feathers/matures fast enough.

My little MFC eggs are due on Friday along with my Lemon Blues. And I already have one pip on a MFC!

I will update as soon as my little ones hatch. Anyway. Those are really adorable chicks chickenlittle!

Out of my six little chicks it looks like the darker ones are roos as well. Interesting fact, eh?
The comb usually is a give away but maybe color/shade will be a factor as well.

They sure are little rounders! I have a dickens of a time with them getting into trouble. I went into the shed the other morning and they were under the Silkies! They had gotten out from their pen under the door and crossed the aisle and gone into the Silkie cage and snuggled under them because I left the screen door open and the shed had gotten a bit chilled. Their parents are roosting and they don't like being without some warmth. Good thing the Silkies are sweeties.

I suppose I should put them in a brooder with a light but I like them being raised with the parents. Of course, I guess they won't lay while raising those chicks. I don't have any electricity to put a heat lamp down there for them. My barn has it but not the Cochin shed.

I just recieved my trio from Jeanne, cruzinTbird on BYC, she hatched out my all three, the two pullets parents she bought from Ralph Phillips. The Cockeral's parents are from Lynne, wwmicasa1 on BYC. These birds are just beautiful to me. let me know what you all think. Thanks
