I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find some MFC hatching eggs. I have some other eggs being shipped early this week and wanted some MFC eggs to set with them. I'm trying to add onto the few MFCs that I have now.

I was really looking for about a dozen or so. I figured if 50% hatch I might get 6 chicks.

Here are some 2 week and 4 week old babies from my first hatches of MF to MF. I have 5 2-day olds, also. I am wondering about the brown headed chick in the first picture and the last chick, who appears to only have blue and white feathers right now. Comments?

Thought I'd post an update on my oldest MF chick that hatched 6/15 - so just at 6 weeks now. Sire is my Bolero (from Rosemary out of Lynne's lines), and the Dam is either my Ginger or Nutmeg, the first of my MF hens that I got from Lynne last fall. I only got a total of 4 from this mating, but all 4 are displaying a very nice buff/wheaten feather background. I think the color/pattern on this little chicklet is really coming along for only 6 weeks. The first pic is when it was one day old so you can see the down color. 3 of the 4 had this down color; the 4th was chipmunk striped.

He's nicely marked for only six weeks! Are your other three similarly marked? Isn't it fun watching the pattern develop and change as the chicks mature? It'll be frascinating to see what he looks like at six MONTHS...
