These birds are amazingly beautiful

I soooo want some. But they're bantams, so no telling the sex, and I can't have a rooster. I would be crushed if I got a rooster and then had to give him away to someone who would put him in a stew pot.

Well, managed to squeeze in a quick visit to the fair yesterday between the tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms. There were a few millies there but only the roos were for sale

We're hoping to go back tomorrow when we have more time and try to track down the owners. They had a few runner ducks (which we are desperately looking for) but by then it was pouring. I'm going to the auction in Mt. Hope OH 9/16 so I'll try there too

Don't let their size fool you.. they're just as loud as regular roos, as if they're trying to make up for their small stature.

Too bad you're not closer... I have a pair that needs a new home...
