I AM WORKING ON MILLE'S. IT SEEMS TO BE A TOUGH COLOR TO DEVELOPE. HERE ARE SOME PICTURES IF I CAN GET THEM ON HERE. ANY ADVICE ON BREEDING OR JUST COMMENTS AND CONVERSATION WOULD BE WELCOME. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO POST PICTURES SO HERE ARE SOME LINKS TO MY MILLE PROJECT.

Danny...it looks like you have a good start? Although some of those pictures looked like buff & a blue? I started gathering birds to use and then ended up also buying F1 and F3 eggs. I have found that in the long-run, it's easier to save up & "invest" rather than raise enough birds to maturity to try to reach something through trial & error...if that makes sense? My first batch of babies is okay...but there is some major room for improvement. My other eggs--I only got one to hatch from and that looks like a roo. Yet another batch (I paid BIG BUCKS for)--none developed, although they were supposedly A.I.'d birds--they were crystal clear eggs! I'm still awaiting my replacements on those...I already sold my own project birds to make room for newer/better birds...

Hi Danny, nice project!

I am wondering if getting a nice black mottled bird to put over the first pic and the last pic birds would improve their mille pattern? They seem to lack the black mostly and appear incomplete. That would be my approach. Hopefully someone with more experience working with this color will have some suggestions. Very pretty birds!
