I forgot to tell you guys I scored a whirlybird roof vent from a local junk seller for $5 for my coop so I don't have to build a cupola. Have to get that on stat!

In my 8x10 coop how many vents should I have? Right now I just have the windows on each side and some air gaps where the roof and walls meet.

I'm sure you'll get a better answer than mine... but I cut a 4 inch circular hole on the upper slanted wall and on the lower wall but still near the top then covered it with hardwawre cloth.

@Minniechickmama, definitely looking white. Cute little thing. It holds its own with the maran chicks. Even though it's not ours, we named it Squishy.....aaaaaaaaand we love it. Lol

Thanks for the lighting advice. I have definitely noticed ducks have better night vision, they can find the water at night easily in pitch black but the chickens nearly fall over! I have let my mallards fly at night a couple of times and I think they enjoy it.
