Then after I helped take samples they went back to the truck and sprayed down with something, sanitizer of some Kind. As far as I know most infectious diseases don't live outside of their environment for long. Definitely not long enough to transfer them to another place. I know they have no idea how it is being transferred with AI. They are just are not taking any chances.
Are we sure mareks can be transferred this way? Maybe in the poop? I would love to know more. I wouldn't want to put people trough more than I need to. It is like many things. The scare causes more damage than the event.
 
hard to tell with viruses - how they are transmitted. I don't know for certain whether you can bring a virus with you but I think so, because mareks virus lives for years. It is in the dander shed with the feathers. It isn't killed by cold. There is a disinfectant, virkon, that supposedly kills it.

I don't have enough of a medical background to know, thats for sure!
