Minnesota!

Thank you ChickenChick11! I'm pretty proud of them. Would have been proud to put them in the freezer too...but LOL...we asked around first and they are lucky boys. To be certain. Glad they get to be somebody's eye candy in the yard.

Thx everyone for warm welcoming! Oh boy, there are lot going on in the chicken world than I thought lol. Mean while, I'm gonna plan for next spring for bigger coop and more babies )

So sorry to hear about Sunny Bogtown

You've lost two gems this summer. And it looks like both of your chicks turned out to be roos? Beautiful ones at that though! I guess you'll just have to hatch some more next spring! I have a hen that is constantly broody so I'm looking forward to being able to hatch someday but the sad part of it is that I'll have to wait until I lose another hen so there's room for babies.

Thanks Foxy. I was lucky to be handed two pullets this spring from the local kindergarten incubator project. So all told I'm housing 9 birds this winter. It will be more spacious in the coop than last winter and I'm good with that. I'll start working on ideas for next springs chicks. I thought maybe I wanted another NH yesterday. But maybe some marans or EE or oe would be nice for colorful egg baskets.

I'm sure L&M isn't too excited about Fleet Farm coming close to their stores. I like L&M and will still use the one in Cloquet just as much since I get there more often than Duluth. But it will be nice to have some more options to find things that L&M doesn't carry here.

I find a lot of things at L&M in Cloquet that I do not find at Fleetfarm in St Cloud. IT will be nice to have both. They do carry slightly different things.
