Alenzj, I was talking about your new chicks. I am not sure were the 4 months came in but i would do 4 weeks. By that time they can be intoduced to the cold. I think were the 4 months came in was to introduce them when they are roughly the same size. With doing this the older hens will be less llikely to kill or hen peck to severly. Someone else might have better advice but this is what I have alway's done with no problems. Also by doing the introducing them at night the hens wake up and think were did these guy's come from instead of beating them up right away.

what do they auction on that day? and is it pretty easy going at that auction? I didnt go to that one last year, but i went to one last year that was about 3hrs away from the cities and I had a good experience there.

Saturday is the Poultry ,household birds, and rabbit auction and it goes all day. They are pretty layed back but try to move things along too. In the morning first thing they do the cages, fencing and like items. If you decied to go let me know on Friday and we can get to meet each other.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it. I am looking foward to coming but i will for sure let you know on friday. I want to maybe pick up a pair or two of serama and or bantams. Do you think they'll have serama's there at the auction?
