Minnesota!

They were Blue with alot of red on the back and hackles, the hen too. The Show Quality Black ones went for $30.00 a peice, I only had wnought for 25.00 each so I lost that bid. The chicks that I got from you are growing like weeds and have started to feather out. The odd ball chick looks like possibly a black orp or a minorca, not usre yet. Either way it will be added to my layer pen unless it is a rooster.
If it were the end of summer/fall, seeing some red or yellowing would make me think sun, but you shouldn't be getting red leakage on Blues unless there is some bad color going on. If those were really SQ birds, then $30 is reasonable.
I didn't think Phil picked up any Orps or Minorcas, but I could be wrong. I can't keep it straight without writing it down now. Too many people and chicks coming and going now. BUT I do remember people once they have been here. ;)

They were not solid blue's, I am thinking it was an expeiramt that went wrong. They should not have stated SQ though.

Oh, HECK NO! Anyone who tries to pull that garbage should be kicked out of the auction. That just gives breeders a bad name when someone tries that, and whoever got them probably didn't know better. Shame on them.

I almost bid on them but I did my homework as far as colors before we went. My DH kept askingme aren't you gonna bid? My statement was OH HELL NO!!! I am so glad that I stood my grounds. We moved them out to the barn today in a part that I use as my big brooder and they are hefty little buggers. I can't wait to see their colors!!!!

So happy that I finally saw robins in my yard today.

Boy, they are going to wish they waited to come if we get this forecasted 4-6" of snow. Ugh.....

As I write we are currently seeing "the white stuff" in nice big flakes. It would be so pretty if it wasn't April. Anyways....anyone go to the swap at moose lake today?

I am really excited!!! I will be getting Sebi eggs the begining of May!!!! Anyone have incubating tips??

Hi All!

I added 4 chicks yesterday (BO, EE, Cuckoo Maran, and a Blue Cochin-all LF sexed girls!) And I am trying to resist running into town to pick up a blu EEr (Un sexed).

Must be the season as my two 1 yr old roos (One Lav and one split to Lav Orps) have been going at it! I hate this-my Lav Roo is now limping and terrified. Both also sweethearts to the girls and people-If anyone is looking for a Orp Roo-let me know :-(

Thank you! Nothing like some fuzzy butts to put a smile on your face and make you excited to jump outo f bed to check them in the mornings!! (Or middle of the night if you are a nut like me)
