I came home to a hen with a prolapsenot what i was hoping for.
We cleaned her up real well and she hasnt been pecked so hopefully she recovers. I tried poking it in (per directions of a vet website) and it went at first, but then she pushed really hard and it came back out some
I dont feel an egg in there, but this is a first for me so i dont know what to feel for. i poked all over and didnt feel anything hard. she did poop some after i cleaned up so maybe she has more of that in there. She was pretty crusty with white poo
She seems fine and doesnt mind me cleaning her or anything, but i know chickens are good at hiding pain.
The vet page i read said to withold feed and give vitamin water, so i mixed up some electrolytes and put her in a dog kennel in the basement where it is cool. i will keep checking on her tonight and see where she goes.
