Welcome to the Mixed Breed Contest! This contest will be for any type of mixed breed of chicken. No pure chickens allowed! There are no prizes involved because it is just for fun! I will be judging this contest once it ends.

Rules:

1. Up to three entries per person.
2. Must contain a picture, name of bird(s), age, and the breeds that you mixed for them (if you know.)
3. Has to be a mixed breed chicken.
4. Submissions will be cut on September 20th at 11:59 PM.

Chester, a suspected gamefowl mix I found abandoned in a parking lot. He liked being pet and hanging out near people. He was taken in a predator attack about a year and a half ago.

Popcorn, a mottled serama x mille fleur d’uccle hen. She was the lead hen and even knew tricks. She recently passed from either Marek’s or another similar viral disease.

This is Blu. He is Americauna mix. He is about 6/7 months old. He is very sweet.

Rooster I hatched from my flock! He is heavily mixed, most likely chocolate egger (half maran half easter egger), jersey giant, RIR and freedom ranger mutt. He is gorgeous and one of my favorites! He is about 7 months old.

A newer boy, about 5-6 months, is the result of production blue mixed with either freedom ranger, or RIR/Jersey cross.

Another favorite. More closely related to the top one. Half chocolate egger, half RIR/Jersey mix. Another favorite of mine. He is about 9months.

Wow your buddy looks almost exactly like mine!! His name is Blue, he is part barred Plymouth Rock (dad) and blue maran (mom), and is 4 months old!

So sorry to hear about your chickens. They both sound like they were very sweet! I’m sure they loved you and you made them very happy as well.

Princess Peaches. Silkie X Ameraucana X Brahma. The funniest, friendliest, sweetest, prettiest girl I could ever hope for. Just loads of personality. Her father was a total butt but passed on wonderful genes.

one of her signature moves is to empty out the contents of a nest box, eggs included so only hers will be in the nests if she is the last to lay. Too cute to ever be mad. No egg casualties to date.

Proud layer of large, very very pale blue eggs.

She decided to pull out her own beard this summer. She’s a bit neurotic.
