Mixed breeds

Red asnd Barred Crossbred.
I have several that look like him. One or two that have blue in place of the black on them.


Pulled 26 babies out of the hatcher today. 14 Polish-EE cross and 12 NN-Brown Leghorn cross. All the NN-Leghorn cfrosses are NN except 2.

Would like to see some pics.

i myself own mix seramas which almost look like pure seramas, and i love them to death! i dont mind the barnyard mutts, i think they are (in many ways) prettier, and dont has as many health probs like some breeds.

Emmett is a sweet boy, man is he big! He is named after Emmett on Twilight-the name suits him well

Well, if it's shameful than I will be too. I wasn't planning on any roo's in my flock but faulty sexing decided otherwise. So... I now have about 10 different breeds(all pure bred) that soon will not be. If I do sell chicks they will simply be Barnyard Mixes. Many others will completely disagree with me, but what are you gonna do? Right?

I am looking forward to having a bunch of mutt chickens...

I took more pics today, it was so nice out it was only in the mid 80's today!! They have really grown, I think I ended up with 3 girls and 5 boys. Not to bad, at least they didn't all turn out to be roosters!

How can you tell which is a male and which is a female. I have 7 chicks that are a couple months old and fully feathered and I would love to know if they are boys or girls...I'll see if I can catch them for pics tomorrow.

There are many ways, sometimes you can pull out the wings and the feathers closer to the inside are pointy they ae cockreals.
