MJ's little flock

Apparently Cetrigen “The Purple Stuff” is the Oz stuff to have for red, bleedy spots; antiseptic and insect repellent, not to mention chook repellent as it makes red spots purple!

I couldn't get anything when I asked @ the produce store but Betadine works just as well.

Gentian? (sp?) violet or such is another of the Blu Kote alternative... again it's my go to for most everything, and yes I’ve sprayed it on myself as well; purposefully even, after a “fun” encounter with some rusty barbed wire, as well as accidentaillay all over myself every time I spray a chicken or cow.

Although... “done is better than perfect”

It's not a perfect fit but we can tweek it and it is protecting her for now.

She looks quite spiffy and comfy, and it’s a better fit than my first attempts, and with a very cute (appropriately colored) pattern to boot! She looks way more comfortable than my Barnvelder girl did in hers, and I still don’t have the size quite right for my smaller girls.

Thanks for the sympathy everyone and for the advice Kris. I looked up patterns for chicken saddles and my youngest made one up for Alice.

She looks very spiffy in her cute outfit!

Mostly it's just a matter of making up her bed. if she's lucky her favourite flower [Murraya] will be out & I can put a small vase of them in her room before she arrives.

All our downstairs bedrooms are really small so we are knocking out all the walls to turn 3 rooms into 2. Next time she's home we should be all done & she can be more settled.
Awesome! Sounds like a big job to me, but I know absolutely nothing about walls :D
