I remember those frangis giving you trouble. I've been lucky with mine, except the pink one doesn't flower

Is it getting enough sun? The frangi out the front has never flowered and it’s meant to be pink; it gets overshadowed by the neighbour’s foliage. I’m hoping once it gets to a certain height it will start to flower.

How old is your frangipani? It needs to be @ least 2 years old to flower. You also need to fertilise through spring & summer & check for thrips, aphids & mealybugs. A fertilizer higher in phosphorous will help promote flowering.

Yes, all day sun. I'm thinking it might need a spring feed next year.

Anyway, yes it's older than that. Also the top half is grafted onto the bottom half. Is that a factor? But I've not fed it for ages. Maybe that will help.

You seem to know a lot about this. I may have to ask you about my lilac. It has fallen on hard times.

I've never had a lilac but have killed lots of plants so I know what not to do.

The usual answer to encourage growth is:
a bit of a prune
mulch around the base but keep it clear of the trunk
feed with seasol
water in well
talk to your plant.

Unfortunately the potter doesn't have a chicken feeder design, only open trays which rodents and wildbirds can help themselves from.

Sounds like you may need to get a treadle feeder MJ.

I think the key is to have dogs in the yard when chooks are safely in the run and dogs in the house when chooks are roaming the yard.

This is what I did with my dogs, then progressed to closely supervised free range time together. Now the chooks will walk up to the dogs and drive them away from their bones.
The dogs know where they are in the pecking order!

I’m trying to grow some more Frangipanis. The one I was trying to save last year didn’t make it ($100 for two trees and they both died!) I forgot to dry it out first, maybe that’s why it didn’t make it. I bought two tri-colour ones locally; one’s going nuts and the other has barely grown. It also appeared to have some rotting issues so it pulled it out, cut the rotten bit off and left it to dry. The one that’s gone nuts needed a trim, so I cut two branches off and let them dry. One branch I’ve planted where the other failed to thrive (it’s bigger so should get more sun sooner) the sick one has ended up in a pot and the other branch has been planted near where the Liquid Amber was. Let’s see how that works!

I love the scent of frangipanis but I've never had any luck with them. Then again I'm not in the right climate zone for them.

That soil looks great for dustbathing MJ but looks very impoverished. Do you mulch your garden beds?
