Here's something interesting. I'm sure I've mentioned it before but it's continuing so worth mentioning again.

The hens are increasingly preferring their run to roaming around the garden. They used to dash out the door every day. Now they're thinking meh, maybe we'll stay right here.

Two are moulting, so not up to their customary monkey business, one is feeling older than her years, the other follows the crowd.

Seems odd to me they don't feel inclined for bug hunts and weeding.
This is interesting for sure. I never understand why the patterns change like that. I bet they shift back at some point.

Poor baby. But her stance suggests she is pretty perky in spite of the indignity.
Are you worried about her at all MJ?
Only a little more than usual. She's been eating a lot of her dinner, which is good, but through the day she prefers to eat what she can forage. I'm not confident foraging at my place gives her sufficient nutrients and I think her moult has put her off dry pellets, which she would ordinarily eat a lot of. On the other hand, I haven't seen any behaviour that suggests she's not ok. Good poops etc. Perhaps I'll give her egg and salmon treat today just to fill her up with healthy food at lunchtime.
