MJ's little flock

This little one is so friendly!

If it's a pill (solid) I crush them and make a paste and do the bread thing. If it's a capsule (powder in shell) I split the shell and make a paste with the contents and soak that up with bread, or whatever the bird will eat.
That worked quite well, thanks Shad.

She ate more than 90% of her antibiotic pill as paste on bread. And all of her liquid NSAID.

I'll try paste again tonight and tomorrow with smaller doses per tiny sandwich. If she remains reluctant to eat all of it, I may go for pilling her because her NSAID will be doing its best by then and she'll be in less pain - she's only had two doses and she's already moving better.

@BY Bob and @RoyalChick I've removed the heat plate from the chicks' house. In the end, I waited more than a week because the weather cooled and even so, they didn't poop under the heat plate, so I feel confident they'll be ok without it.
They are ready to be on their own. You have done a great job with them.

Judging from the last video you shared they are well past needing the heat plate. Do they even fit under?
